India-Italy Technology Summit 2018, New Delhi
We are glad to inform that DLP India actively attended and participated in the India-Italy Technology Summit on 29th and 30th October 2018 in New Delhi. To cement the 70 years of diplomatic relations, The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, hosted the 24th consecutive edition of Technology Summit along with the Partner country Italy.
The DST-CII India Italy Technology Summit was aimed at facilitating Technology Transfer, Joint Venture, Joint R&D, Joint Projects & Market Access between India and Italy’s Industry & Research Institutes. The technology Summit has eventually developed into the largest technology event in the country with widespread participation from the highest level of Government, Industry, and Academia from both India and Italy.
Being one of the leading organizations in the country in the space of education, the representatives from DLP India actively participated in the discussion titled “Session on Education” as delegates. The discussions had a prime focus towards recognition of qualifications, mobility and exchange, university / industry relations, traineeship in research and technology transfer.
The summit offered a high profile bilateral interaction platform that provided us a golden opportunity to interact with the industry institutes and government agencies both from India and Italy. It helped us in exploring new avenues for collaboration which in turn opened new doors for identifying innovative collaborations and potential projects in the educational sector.
Both, Ashutosh Sharma (Secretary, Department of Science and Technology) and Vincenzo De Luca (Director General for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation at the Ministry of Foreign affairs and international cooperation, Italy) expressed their appreciation for the summit.
The Technology Summit was designed to forge partnerships, create joint ventures and explore new opportunities for collaboration to boost trade and investments. The summit witnessed 100+ high level Italian delegation over various discussions and meetings. The prime focus areas of the summit were Renewable, Clean tech, ICT, Healthcare, Aerospace, Education and Cultural Heritage.
It was a great opportunity to meet educational and technology enthusiasts from both the countries and share views over future prospects and collaborations. The representatives from DLP India conducted B2B and B2C meetings with various representatives from Italy in the Education sphere so as to expand their base in European countries.
The session with Prime Ministers of both the countries, Mr. Narendra Modi and Mr. Giuseppe Conte, was really inspiring as it focused on latest developments and innovations in the field of IT, education and healthcare.
The technology Summit offered golden opportunity for DLP India to build and develop strategic partnerships with prestigious global companies in the education sector. The main goal is to integrate the company’s know-how into a major international context that projects DLP India on international grounds.
