DLP India connects to Guglielmo Marconi University. It is at international level promoting the use of innovative learning methodologies and an approach based on the development of multidisciplinary knowledge, skills and competencies with a special stress on the global perspective. With respect to present count of enrollments, the total number is approximate 16000 students registered in graduate and postgraduate programs, 300 faculty members and an academic advising team made of more than 200 experts. The University Headquarters is located in the heart of Rome, near the Vatican City but numerous regional and international branches allow both national and foreign students to take their final exam and present their thesis from their own country.
Guglielmo Marconi University is officially recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research and is also approved by ACICS – Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools, the biggest US accrediting institution linked to the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Its courses are therefore valid in Europe as well as in the United States providing students several career opportunities in several countries.
GMU model is flexible and supportive for students of all ages, highlighting student-faculty interaction, personalized tutelage services, interactive assessments, simulations and top of the line virtual labs Marconi academic expertise builds on a rich European educational tradition and provides the value of research and innovation in the field of online learning technologies. Their educational model offers both an online and blended format, combining web-based interactive activities and lessons with face to face seminars, labs and tutoring sessions for an enriched study experience. Online learning is accessed through the Virtual C@mpus platform SIM (Integrated Multimodal System), a result of the University’s latest findings in instructional design and digital technologies. Within this learning environment, multimedia and web-based educational materials (audio/ video lessons, virtual laboratories, simulations, case studies, tests), are made available to students to support their study experience.
In 2005 Guglielmo Marconi University founded the Association GUIDE – Global Universities in Distance Education with the aim to support the transformation of higher education worldwide.
